LEARN MORE ABOUT THE HISTORY OF THE BERGER PICARD Meet an amazing bREED!The Berger Picard is a very ancient French herding breed believed to be the ancestor of most of the actual herding breeds of Europe. The Picard is a medium built, rustic, intelligent, resilient and very creative dog. His sense of initiative and his sense of humour will surprise you, throw you off guard and be the beginning of a very special relationship. You may be used to dogs but once you enter the Picard's world be prepared to discover a new meaning to canine companionship, be prepare to be challenged but most of all be prepared to live an unique adventure!
The Berger Picard can go from over the top joyful energy to sweet cuddly calm; you set the pace and he will willingly follow. All the Picard needs is your respect and understanding. Don't expect him to by nice and calm if he hasn't had his exercise, don't expect him to be joyful if you are sad. He feeds off your energy and will be your mirror for the next 13 years. You like being challenged, you like thinking outside the box, you like being creative, you like being active; this is a dog you might be interested in learning more about...

Many, not to say most, Berger Picard's like to sleep on their back or in weird positions which makes them snore. If you were hoping to have your Picard sleep in your room a good pair of ear plugs might be needed...
